Martha (Marty) Dennen MA, LCPC, SEP
I am committed to helping you find and develop freedom and resilience to deal with everyday life and past childhood trauma and abuse. So often life experiences are traumatic and stressful contributing to struggles with depression, anxiety and inability to function. I work from a somatic and body centered and psycho-dynamic approaches that meets the needs of teens and women with childhood trauma, addictions, anxiety and eating disorders. My focus is to engage the whole person: mind, body, will, spirit and emotions.
My goal is to help you: find greater connection to your mind and body. Decrease chronic pain and trauma in the body. Reduce your experience of stress and anxiety. Resolve and release childhood trauma, eating struggles, and anxiety. Develop a deeper connection with yourself and to build resilience and peace.
I am a somatic based counselor that focuses on resolving trauma and stress held in the body through Somatic Touch and Somatic Experiencing modalities. So often traditional therapy focuses on cognition and doesn’t take into consideration the body, spirit and mind. I also integrate faith principles when requested. I seek to bring a greater sense of health and freedom in your life.
